Honda Car Sales August 2025 – Amaze, City, Elevate Report

Honda Cars India posted 3,850 units in sales for August 2025, registering a steep 28% decline YoY compared to 5,326 units in August 2024. On a month-on-month (MoM) basis, sales also dipped 5% from 4,050 units in July 2025. Among Honda’s lineup, the Amaze and City continued to face pressure, while the Elevate managed to soften the blow with relatively stable numbers.
Honda August 2025 Car Sales – Model-Wise Performance
The Honda Amaze remained the top contributor, with 1,753 units sold, but this was a 32% YoY decline against 2,585 units last year. Compared to July 2025 (2,009 units), sales also dropped by 13%, signaling weakening demand in the compact sedan space.
The Honda City, once a strong performer in the midsize sedan category, reported only 437 units sold, down 57% YoY from 1,018 units in August 2024. Even compared to July 2025 (646 units), sales slipped 32%, showing sustained challenges for the sedan segment.
The Honda Elevate continued to perform better than the rest of the portfolio, with 1,660 units sold in August 2025. Though this marked a 4% YoY decline compared to 1,723 units in August 2024, the model recorded a 19% MoM growth over July 2025 (1,395 units), showing that demand for this SUV is gaining traction.
