Kia India Sales Report August 2025 – Seltos, Carens, Sonet, Syros, Carnival

Kia India reported total sales of 19,608 units in August 2025, marking a 13% year-on-year (YoY) decline compared to 22,523 units sold in August 2024. On a month-on-month (MoM) basis, sales also dropped by 11%, down from 22,135 units in July 2025.
Kia August 2025 Sales Highlights
The Kia Sonet continued to be the company’s top performer, recording 7,741 units in August 2025. However, this marked a 23% YoY decline compared to 10,073 units sold in August 2024. MoM performance was stable, with just a 1% increase.
The Carens MPV posted healthy YoY growth of 16%, selling 6,822 units compared to 5,881 in the same month last year. But sequentially, it saw a 10% MoM decline from 7,602 units sold in July 2025.
Kia’s flagship Seltos SUV faced a sharp downturn with sales of 4,687 units in August 2025, down 28% YoY from 6,536 units in August 2024 and 22% MoM compared to July 2025 sales.
The newly launched Kia Syros registered 308 units, making its entry into the sales charts. However, MoM numbers fell by 63% against 834 units sold in July 2025.
In the premium segment, the Kia Carnival managed just 50 units, while the EV6 recorded no sales this month, dropping from 33 units in August 2024. Kia’s new flagship electric SUV, the EV9, is yet to contribute to the sales tally.

Outlook
Kia’s August 2025 performance highlights mixed results. While the Carens showed resilience with YoY growth, both the Sonet and Seltos, which are the brand’s main volume drivers, saw steep declines. The new Syros could help Kia strengthen its portfolio in the coming months, while upcoming EVs like the EV9 may play a crucial role in boosting premium sales.
